Maintenance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to join our team at our facility located in Mesquite, Texas. . As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Help to align machines and equipment during installation, using hoists, jacks, squares, ruler, micrometers, and plumb bobs
  • Assist to repair any problems associated with new equipment
  • Fabricate new machine parts if original parts are missing or damaged
  • Lead apprentices and direct them to ensure successful task completion
  • Prepare procedures, work instruction, checklist related to machine operation and maintenance
  • Provide training to operators and new employee concerning machine operation and maintenance
  • Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed
  • Perform preventative maintenance once the machines and equipment are put into operation
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation
  • Complete of other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Able to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment
  • Able to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul
  • Aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire for innovative thinking and continual learning
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Practice ethics and Integrity in all areas of work
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, mediating, and negotiating skills

Salary info:

$25 - $35 / hr
